Bio's are boring...let's chat. If
you've gotten this far you must be somewhat interested in what GLASS EDEN
is about or you have a lot of free time, either way let me fill you in.
GLASS EDEN came out of the remnants
of a former band and my disdain for working in a group situation. Some may
feel compromise is good and necessary but I do not. If I have any regrets
in life the main one would be not trusting my own judgment and giving weight
to the ideas of people who didn't know their ass from a hole in the ground
(pardon my Texas slang). The term GLASS EDEN is something I thought I overheard
in a class on logic and my head swam with all the connotations of the term.
It turned out that was not what the instructor had said but the phrase stuck
with me. As writing progressed for the record and I dredged up the closest
thing I could find to truth to fill the songs with, I realized that GLASS
EDEN was the perfect definition for the situation I was attempting to describe.
GLASS EDEN represents what I consider to be thoughts/feelings/desires
we all have but aren't willing to express. I use it as a kind of spiritual
exorcism to deal with the crap this society of sheep has rammed down my
throat since I was born. In other words it ain't no f***ing Britney Spears
but I'm assuming you already guessed that.
All the financing that went into GLASS EDEN was
put towards the quality of the product. You won't find it in stores, hear
it on commercial radio or see it on (MTV+VH1=Viacom)
because we preferred to use the money it takes to buy off these media whores
to produce quality product. However, you will hear it on COLLEGE
& INDIE RADIO, see it across the US on INDIE
VIDEO SHOWS and in CANADA on MUCH MUSIC. These entertainment outlets
still care something about the quality of the product as opposed to the
dollar potential of the label/distributor. We're gambling that the listener
is interested enough to figure out what they like without having to be told
by the Major Labels. Those dice are still rolling so listen
to the CD, watch the VIDEOS, read the REVIEWS. If you like it then because this is the only
place you can.
